If you enjoy swimming very much and prefer the concept of pay per entry, public pools are definitely your choice. Public pools may be crowded during the weekend as compared to weekdays; you can actually choose to go in the evening of the weekdays but it can be crowded as well at times. Nevertheless, it is best to know the schedule of the public pool in advance.

 

One of the recommended public pools is the Bukit Jalil swimming pool, which is located at Kompleks Sukan Bukit Jalil. This fully equipped public pool is very well suited for those of you who likes to swim and wish to improve on swimming skills. Do take note that there are three separate pools namely the Olympic-sized swimming pool, Terjunan pool and Training pool. The sheltered Olympic-sized pool with eight lanes is usually crowded in the evening on weekdays and weekends. You may show up early in the morning on a Sunday, in which you may possibly have the pool for yourself until later time when the crowd starts to come.

 

The admission fee for adults is RM4 on weekdays and RM5 on weekends. The public pool is open from Mondays to Thursdays with the 2pm, 5pm and 8pm slots. Each slot is 2.5 hours long. On Fridays, the 2.5 hours slots are available at 5pm and 8pm. There are the shorter slots, 1.5 hours long, starting at 8am, 10am and 3pm. For Saturdays and public holidays, slots available are 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm and 8pm. Lastly on Sundays, slots available are 8am, 11.30am, 3pm and 6.30pm. The weekend slots are all 2.5 hours long.
